 Speaker & Consultations

Dr. Tayyeb has over 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry with expertise in Military culture, Veterans Health, Policy, Reintegration, underserved Veteran populations, nursing professional development, Professional Practice, and nursing education.

Dr. Tayyeb is a United States Navy Veteran, having served with the Naval Medical Center, San Diego, 1st Marine Division, and 3rd Marine Division as a Field Corpsman. After his military service, he returned to school and received his BSN and MSN with a focus on Nursing Education from California State University, Los Angeles, and a Ph.D. from the University of San Diego Hahn School of Nursing.

Dr. Tayyeb also has over 20 years experience as an educator, has a Master of Science Degree in Nursing with an emphasis in Education, is ANCC nationally board certified as a Nursing Professional Development Specialist, has practiced as a member of faculty at top-ranked international nursing programs, and has earned the ACUE program Certificate in Effective College Instruction. Dr. Tayyeb was recognized for his impact on his work and advocacy with the Veteran community and was inducted as a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing in 2023, where he serves on the Military and Veterans Health Expert Panel.

Dr. Tayyeb is a sought-after speaker and consultant on topics relating to veterans’ health, underserved veteran populations, military bad paper discharges, Nurse Mentoring, Nursing professional development, Nursing Professional Practice, and the intersection of art and healthcare.

Though Dr. Tayyeb’s research is primarily veteran-centric, his work has evolved into the exploration of systemic failures and advancing social networks to connect and advance nursing issues while facilitating nursing discourse centered around the theory of social contracts.
